Respected catholic priest, Christian Cardinal Tumi has said president Biya is serious with his promise to implement all the recommendations of the historic Major National Dialogue.
According to Cardinal Tumi, President Biya is focused on seeing the quick execution of these recommendations for peace to return to the North West and South West regions.
Tumi made the assertion on the sidelines of the maiden inaugural meeting of the committee institute by the Head of State last March 23 to follow up the implementation of the dialogue recommendations.
When asked if he is satisfied with the level of implementation, the cleric expressively noted that the implementations are not going as fast as he would like it to be but said he is contented with what is already being done in the field. To him, it is better to be late than not to start at all.
Cardinal Tumi was appointed as one of the leading committee members to the North West to ensure that the decisions taken at the National Dialogue chaired by the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Chief Dr Jospeh Dion Ngute we’re fully respected and implemented.
He has been on several campaigns to bring peace in the North West and South West regions. Tumi’s interventions have led to so many separatist fighters dropping guns and being rehabilitated back into society.
