Kumba II Council Reinforces Gov’t’s Anti-Illiteracy Measures

Kids of Government Nursery School Ekemba, Kumba II Municipality would be privileged to sit and study in comfortable classrooms as the 2020/ 2021 academic year that begins on October 5.

 This follows a donation of two classrooms to the institution by the kumba II Sub divisional council on Tuesday September 29. The gesture falls within the framework of the 2019 Public Investment Projects, PIP. Handing over the classrooms on behalf of the council, the Second deputy mayor of …the Kumba II Sub divisional council, Vivian Chibili, said it is part of Government’s measures to fight illiteracy in kumba II Sub division .

She reiterated that, the State of Cameroon values the education of children which remains the backbone of the economy and socio-political values of the nation as future leadership would rest on the youths.

 The keys of the two classrooms were handed over to the Inspector of Basic Education for kumba II Sub division in, Ivo Matuke Ebako , who promised on behalf of the school authorities to made judicious use of the edifice in imparting knowledge to the future leaders. The two classrooms are spacious and constructed within the specification of government’s prescriptions.

Recently, the council donated didactic materials to primary and nursery schools in the municipality to better prepare for the new school year. It had equally carried out disinfection of schools against COVID-19.  It is multiplying efforts to make the school millieu conducive for learning.

The donation comes less than a week to the new school year.
