Njeatih Godswill Buriya, 18, a student of Franky Comprehensive Secondary School Melen-Yaounde, who scored 25 points at the 2020 session of the GCE Advanced Level exams has died.

 According to reports, Buriya collapsed and died Monday October 5 in Yaounde. 

Reliable sources have told CAMWATCH News that, “He went to Yaounde to fill documents for scholarship formalities since he performed well at the Advanced Level exams. While there, he sat on the chair and later collapsed then died.

The mortal remains are currently on the way to Bamenda, capital of Cameroon’s North West Region where he will be kept at the Bamenda regional hospital mortuary pending burial arrangements, a close source has hinted.

Godswill Buriya scored five A grades at the Advanced Level exams in Biology, Chemistry, Further Maths, Physics and PMN, respectively. Centre no. 11813, Franky Comprehensive Secondary School <elen-Yaounde, scored 90.30% at the 2020 session of the GCE Advanced Level. Out of the 121 students who passed in the institution, the late Godswill Buriya came first with 25 points.

Latest reports say, Buriya just succeeded in the competitive exams into the National Advanced School of Engineering, Yaounde. He was equally attending preparatory classes to sit for the Faculty of Bio-medical Sciences in the University of Yaounde I commonly called CUSS.

Buriya hails from Ngie, Momo division, North West Region of the country.
