Basic Education School Year Launched In Meme

Teachers and other stakeholders in the Basic Education sub sector in Meme division have been called upon to redouble their efforts in ensuring quality education for Pupils.
The Senior Divisional Officer for Meme division represented by the Second Assistant , Hermia Njonje, made the call Friday October 9, in the kumba I Sub divisional council hall while presiding over the launch of the 2020/2021 academic year in the division.
The launch comes barely five days into the start of the new school year. Addressing the audience, Njonje said, she was happy with the effective start of schools in the division while equally calling on teachers to be assiduous in their duties which should be reflected in the results obtained at the end of the school year.
Speaking earlier, the Divisional delegate of Basic Education for Meme division, Mrs Beatrice Mukwelle Balemba, thanked all present and reassured them that, collectively, they would record success.
The launch also witnessed Participants working in commissions which culminated in the presentation of a general report on their challenges and way forward for a hitch-free academic year in the Basic Education sub sector in Meme division of the South West region
