NGO Empowers  Children For  Effective School Resumption

The Non Governmental Organisation, NGO, YOBCA with support from Tandap Hubert (a Co-founder) of the organisation  on  October 7, awarded scholarship worth 1,000, 000 FCFA to over 50 students from the Miselele Community –Tiko sub division.

The beneficiaries are candidates who passed the 2020 GCE Examination in both the Ordinary and Advanced Levels. Quality academic orientation was equally offered the beneficiaries .

They were schooled on the undisputed importance of academics, various career paths and the need to pursue their academic aspirations with a sense of faith and hope.

During the charitable gesture, the organisers  equally carried out a sensitisation campaign on the symptoms of COVID-19 and preventive measures put in place by the World Health Organisation and the government authorities.

The award of scholarship in Miselele, is part of YOBCA’s campaign to award scholarships to over 500 outstanding, yet economically disadvantaged Cameroonian students all over the national territory, annually.

YOBCA also schooled Women in Miselele Community on how to survive violence against them during the COVID-19 pandemic, assuring them of assistance in any way possible.

To crown the ceremony, the president of YOBCA, Chungong Asongwe accompanied by the Secretary General of the organisation Alain Abangma promised a special follow-up of the 2020 beneficiaries of  the YOBCA Scholarship scheme. YOBCA took pictures with the happy students alongside the excited Miselele population.
