Kumba School Massacre Victims Receive Financial Support Representatives of injured victims of the deadly October 24, 2020 school attack have received financial assistance from Kumba sons and daughters resident in Minnesota, USA, and friends of the kumba Palace.
This was during a ceremony which took place at the Nfon’s Palace in kumba -Town, kumba. The ceremony was chaired by the Nfon of kumba and Paramount Ruler of the Bafaws, His Royal Majesty, Nfon Mukete IV Ekoko.
Talking to the benefactors, Nfon Mukete IV Ekoko noted that, the gesture is timely given the fact that the victims are in dire need of support in this difficult moment. He praised the sons and daughters of kumba, who are known as K-Towners, resident in Minnesota for their positive drive in assisting the city of kumba. To the friends of kumba Palace, His Royal Majesty, Nfon Mukete IV Ekoko , thanked them for the gesture.
The K-Towners in Minnesota, USA, provided the sum of 2.3 million FCFA while the friends of kumba Palace gave 700 thousand FCFA ; making a total sum of 3 million FCFA.
The money was distributed to the 12 affected victims with each receiving 250 thousand FCFA. The beneficiaries thanked the benefactors and prayed God replenish their sources of income. It is not the first time the K-Towners in the USA and friends of the kumba Palace are coming to the assistance of victims of the kumba school attack.
Last time, K-Towners in Atlanta doled out financial assistance to the bereaved families. All these donations are coordinated by the Nfon of kumba and Paramount Ruler of the Bafaws, Nfon Mukete IV Ekoko.
The November 14 occaision was attended by the kumba City Mayor, Gregory Mewanu; the Second deputy mayor of kumba II Council, Vivian Aigona Chibili; the Mayor of the kumba III council, Dr Isaac Nguba Mukwelle and members of the Bafaw Traditional Council led by its Chairman , Eseme Moses Akwo.
